After 2 weeks usage I have to say I'm very satisfied with how the basic, as it comes, unit has worked. I don't use it constantly as Verizon normally gives me a workable connection, but on the occasions where I've needed it, it's done it's job. Today for example, outside the van I had 2 bars on my phone, inside the van it went to one. Put the Weboost Sleek antenna on the roof, powered it up, and I went to 3 and 4 bars LTE inside the van. This is the biggest boost it's given me, but in all previous instances it has turned an unusable signal inside the van to a usable one. Love it. Life is good.

Here's a screenshot, note the signal, lol it's now 5.  Agin, this is the most it's increased the signal but it has increased it every time I've needed it to.

I decided to buy the cheapest Weboost cradle booster to see if I can better reception on our mountain property from AT&T.  I can hit Verizon with a couple of bars but the AT&T tower seems too far for the bare phone (although I do get 1 bar if I go up the road 400 yards).  I have Cricket unlimited which uses AT&T although I guess now I could switch to Verizon for $80 vs the $65 I am paying Cricket.

I am buying a new $99 3G only booster from Weboost.  It only amplifies 850mhz and 1900mhz.   This is probably ok since 4G is not going to be possible here on the mountain.  If I can get a strong 3G though, I would be happy.

First I am going to try to get even 1 bar with a omni antenna on the roof of the RV parked at the top of the property (good ground plane in the aluminum roof).  If I get that, I will construct either a parabolic dish, corner reflector or yagi antenna to give me 10db to 15db of gain.  I would mount it as high as possible in a tree and run LMR400 low loss cable back to the RV/booster.   I think something like this has a good chance of working.

I found the Sleeks refurbished on Amazon for $119 and bought myself a back up as well as one for a friend. We are in Prescott NF south of Groom creek and she was whooing and hawing until she dropped her Verizon phone in the cradle and watched her LTE signal go from 1 bar and iffy at that to 3 solid bars. My Verizon 3G went from 3 bars to a full rack. My Cricket went from iffy and dropping calls to seeing both a 4G and LTE tower.
