I saw this on another platform on the internet and couldn't resist the temptation to share it.  If its plagiarism, I'll take the blame.  If it's awesome, I can't take the credit.

I AM NOT HOMELESS!
I had a fantastic conversation with the rep of the local homeless several months back.
She has what she called the 4p philosophy when defining homelessness vs. non traditional living.
1) Presentation: personal presentation and presentation of your rig.
2) Planning: that plan may be to travel the country or just the region, or to join a caravan, or to  save funds for something else.  There are goals and intent.
3) Possessions of purpose:  a huge symptom of homelessness is gathering whatever can be gathered despite it's usefulness.  Non traditional living has the mindset of less is more, what I possess has a job or 3 jobs and is both used frequently and accessible in a organized manor to the user at least.
4) Personal Perception:  do you consider your self a homeless person or a van lifer, nomad, car camper or some other great definition?  How you see yourself has a huge impact on how or even IF you move forward.
No one has a right to declare if you are homeless except you.

I'm not homeless, I'm houseless, I have a home, but it has wheels under it.

No property taxes, or grass to cut, I have solar so no electric bill, I can get free water and sewer dump, and if I don't like the neighbors I can anytime I want.

Being homeless doesn't mean you live in a cardboard box under a bridge.

Welcome to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

"No one has a right to declare if you are homeless except you."

Not true. Anyone has the right to declare you whatever the hell they want. Why should you care though?

People like to demean and label things they do not understand. They can't quite grasp the concept that not everyone embraces the idea of the white picket fence.

Many here have been able to take this idea further than me and I do not consider them homeless, I consider them pretty lucky. Now I am not saying that there are none that don't really cherish their situation and wish that it could change but that as noted, is a decision they must make for themselves.
