It is ONLY the Walmart in Whitehorse which if you have ever been there you would understand why they are doing this. So many RVs in their lot that normal paying customers have no place to park. When I was there in 2015 my jaw dropped, then I promptly left because it was too crowded.

Ps - no shortage of free campaigns ng in the Yukon. No idea why everyone congregates at a single Walmart

Clickbait.
I was beginning to wonder whether someone else around here hadn't hacked john's account. The name given to the thread is the worst possible.

Yes only applies to that one store in Whitehorse.

Sorry to cause a panic, mod feel free to mod the thread title?

Alas, this is not unusual. Although Walmart corporate's policy is to allow overnighting, each store manager gets to set the policy for their own store. In some Walmarts, the parking lot is actually owned by someone else, so the manager can't legally give permission--in other Walmarts, local ordinances make it illegal no matter what the Walmart policy is. And some managers ban parking in their lot when some dumbfuck does something stupid like dump their trash in the lawn or empty their pee bottle on the sidewalk or move in permanently and live like they own the place.

It's always a tiny handful of shitheads who end up wrecking things for everyone else.

I agree with Vantramp I was there about 4 years ago and the number of vans parked was obscene, some looked like they had been there forever. It was a horrible place to park up, there are so many better options available. I think Walmarts are ok for a night if you have to. I have never stayed at one,not that I wouldn’t, just that there always have been better options.
