I am planning a custom built flatbed slide-in TC. It will be 9 feet long, 6 1/2 feet wide with about 50" of overhang. The flatbed will have tool boxes underneath. As long as the jacks won't get in the way of the tool boxes, what jacks would you recommend?

Sorry didn't see this post until today. We built a flatbed camper and used Reico Titan jacks. I went with the manual kind because they are cheaper and lighter. They are rated 2000 lbs per jack. About $300 per pair with free shipping.

We made ours removable with a quick connect system which allows you to remove or install all 4 jacks in a minute or two. We store them in a box under our truck.

Here is a pic of how they work:

Having a jack that won't get snagged and rip the mounting structure is important. And to keep from blocking the tool boxes is a must. Here is something I stumbled across. It does not pick up on search engines very well at all. Are you familiar with this?:

Well, our jacks are removable so they will not get snagged on anything when we are traveling. I suppose a dog could pee on them while we are parked if we leave them on.

We have 6 toolboxes of that size under the truck and the four jacks only fill up half of one.

I have not seen the system you linked. It is interesting. I was just pointing out a type of reliable inexpensive truck jack that lots of truck campers use (though with the permanent bolt on brackets instead of our custom removable setup)

Yes, that's what I meant. I really like the jack set up you have. And they take up very little, precious space. Having a quick release of some sort should be the norm for slide in campers.
