Ok, we know sparky is having S.O.S. after that run for supplies. What about the rest of you? Since I'm alone this year I'm having baked chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes and chicken gravy. Cranberry sauce and hot buttered rolls. A nice white bottle of wine. Pumpkin pie ties it up. Other than the wine and pie all done from scratch.

Well, had no idea you were such a cook.

We went to the community dinner here at the RV park. There were dishes made by everyone, including several desserts. The park owner brought a roasted turkey. I think I sampled most everything and I'm stuffed. We brought home a plate that will feed both of us for lunch tomorrow.
Great people and a fun time.

Being alone this year, I wussed out on cooking. I grabbed a good novel and headed out to my fave sushi place, figuring that if it was closed I'd go the Carrow's route. It was indeed closed, but I found a new Chinese buffet/ sushi place had opened just across the way.

Gorged myself on salmon nigri, rainbow roll, tempura roll, mixed seafood, huge fried chicken wings, cream cheese wontons, broccoli beef and a little bit of everything else that looked good. Chocolate cake and cheesecake for dessert. I never even made it to the hibachi section and am so stuffed I was barely able to get up from the table. Best part- all that and a soda for under $20 including the tip :D

Buffets don't have leftovers, but I may not be ready to eat again until the weekend anyway :)

I just chucked a buncha.. stuff in the pot and started boiling. There's carrots, celery, zucchini, marinated beef bit's, pork ribs, lotsa cayenne, sambol olek, dill, rosemary, basil, sage, garlic-all w. salt, soya sauce, crushed hot peppers, spaghetti and, uhm, some more stuff, but I forgot. ..Willy.

Unchained, we like those places too.
There's what are affectionately known as the "blue hairs". These are the ladies who are in the beauty shop every week keeping up their poofy blue tint job that travel in a 45' rolling mansion. (Bless their little souls)
Keep an eye on these sly gals and you learn all the tricks for feeding yourself for 3 days off a buffet :D
A bar with paper plates on a buffet...no prob  dig in your bag and whip out your wicker thingie so you can make a good haul before all the other vultures swoop down :D
Rotating to a few places, you could really cut your food costs ;)

And to think, I did it the old fashioned way... by eating enough for 3 days! *burrrrp!*

Well like a few of you I am alone this year also. I opted for somewhere in the middle. I cooked but I took the short route on everything. I bought a precooked Turkey breast, divided it and froze half. I had dressing already made and vacuum packed individually in the freezer...just nuke. I opened a can of english peas...again just nuke. Last I added some pickled beets. Topped it all off with a pumpkin pie from wally world

Thanksgiving dinner in about 15 minutes :p

Not much. Think I should have skipped the last couple of chicken wings :D

A good sized group of us ate dinner with Bob.
I seemed to me that everyone had a good time and the food was great....even had some pickled okra that was better than candy.
I have a few photos on my blog....maybe you can spot someone you know.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone

papa

That's great, papas! I really wanted to be there. I live a few hours from Q, but I don't have my van yet and have discovered that there is basically no way to make an '06 Rio campable (is too a word) for anyone over 4' tall.

Glad you guys had a good time! :)
