12 ,15 ,7 amp? For the 12 volt. What trickle would be best for someone who is out of the van for 12 ,13 hours? I plan on 2 agm batteries for now. They will be connected to the starter battery but don't plan on driving more than 1/2 hr. a day. Battery size together may be 400 amp/hrs? Still not&nbsp;knowledgeable&nbsp;about what battery size to get so let me know how many amps I would need for (in the summer) to run about 400 watts? In the winter&nbsp;probably&nbsp;half. On another note my&nbsp;brain must be getting the daily requirement for getting the cells recharged LOL They say the more you learn when your older you lose less cells in there. I can't&nbsp;believe&nbsp;all that I've learned with you guys in a couple of months. Thanks&nbsp;<img border="0" align="absmiddle" src="https://vanlivingforum.com/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif">&nbsp;

You need way more than a trickle-charger. &nbsp;When they mean trickle, they mean 1 or 2 amps... &nbsp;This is what I have. &nbsp;waterproof, vibration resistant, able to mount anywhere etc...<div><br></div><div><a href="http://www.batterystuff.com/battery-chargers/12-volt/marine-chargers/GU2611A-1-B.html" target="_blank">http://www.batterystuff.com/battery-chargers/12-volt/marine-chargers/GU2611A-1-B.html</a></div><div><br></div><div>Good selection:</div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://www.batterystuff.com/battery-chargers/12-volt/" target="_blank">http://www.batterystuff.com/battery-chargers/12-volt/</a></div><div><br></div><div>If you able to plug in to a house AC, you could use almost any good 10+ amp 3-stage charger. &nbsp;If using a 1000 watt generator, you'd need an approx (no more than) &nbsp;6 amp 3-stage charger (as stated in a prior thread), due to the limitations of said generator (7.5 amp max load). &nbsp;Was it you that had the 1000 watt honda? &nbsp;It's early...</div>

I will not be able to charge anywhere near a outlet. Im not using a generator so I need to be self&nbsp;reliant here. I really do not use much&nbsp;electric.&nbsp;I could use solar power but I really do not know much about it. Will that be hard for someone who has no experience with it? The only solar power I use now are for regular small batteries and lights.<div>&nbsp;Trickle is out then huh?&nbsp;<img border="0" align="absmiddle" src="https://vanlivingforum.com/images/boards/smilies/frown.gif">&nbsp;Oh well</div><div>I also forgot to add they will be connected to the starter battery. How long do I have to keep the van running to charge it? I think I asked this before but I am asking again. Thats why I was thinking the trickle cause it wont need to fully charge them. Is my thinking way off. Hand it to me Tour Im a big girl LOL</div>

Ok... No AC, no Generator and solar is iffy.... Hmmmmm, then, you need the BlueSea 7622 relay, IMO. &nbsp;Read:<div><div><br></div><div><a href="https://vanlivingforum.com/post?new-house-batteries-....-help-5393136&amp;highlight=7622" target="_blank">https://vanlivingforum.com/post?new-house-batteries-....-help-5393136&amp;highlight=7622</a></div><div><br></div><div><a href="https://vanlivingforum.com/search?searchid=14813192" target="_blank">https://vanlivingforum.com/search?searchid=14813192</a></div><div><br></div><div><a href="https://vanlivingforum.com/post?Question-regarding-types-of-chargers.-5481420&amp;highlight=blue" target="_blank">https://vanlivingforum.com/post?Question-regarding-types-of-chargers.-5481420&amp;highlight=blue</a></div></div><div><br></div><div>She, you really should read ALL of the posts in this electrical thread. &nbsp;Very informative.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Happy reading <img src="/images/boards/smilies/wink.gif" border="0" align="absmiddle">&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>
