GotSmart: "The cat, and a covered tub for a cat box."

You aren't the person who must have had the cat carrier on the roof going southbound on Interstate 5 somewhere north of Coalinga, CA, about 40 years ago, were you?  I stopped at a rest area near there, and two women were in the restroom with a carrier they had found on it's side along the freeway, with a gray Persian cat in it.  One of them said she was going to keep the cat, as she wouldn't give it back to someone that careless and stupid.

OH~HELL~NO!  ;)

My cat has the run of the van.  He is the one that tells me what to work on.

GOOD! And I hope you're doing as you're told -- cats are creatures of habit, and once they've got someone trained, they're not going to just let DISOBEDIENCE slide....

I made the mistake of running out of her treats, something she demands several times a day. After the third time I tried to ignore her she got up on the sofa to play, something she does often. Only this time it was not so much playing as she was mad. Her treats are replenished.

My honey is deathly allergic to cats, but we have a neighbor that has a very cute one that sometimes lays in the sun on our porch.  So she's been asking me about cats... last night I explained to the lifelong dog lover, how you pet a cat.  She just stared at me and asked "are you kidding?" when I replied in the affirmative she said "wow, way too many rules!".

Went camping with my best friend after HS graduation, for food she brought a box of Wheaties, no milk, no other food. I thought for drinks a big hug of  Tang and gin covered the bases... so we put gin and tang on the Wheaties, and had it to drink for three days.

Since then I've learned to pack a few more options in the food and bev category.

:D Well that was 3 of the major food groups........Tang..........Gin........Cereal......Right

My pillow, and a book
Book I replaced easily, but no stores sell that type of pillow any more

Because a day without a cat is like a day without sunshine . . .

  I HATE YES MEN      :p

My cat bargans with me.   :D

Much as I love dogs, cats are much lower maintenance, clean the litterbox, keep food down, peti it when it gets in your lap
Dogs require walks, meal discipline, much more attention, and god forbid you have to leave them home for a few days
Of course there is no other creature that will love you as much as a dog

I have had both cats and dogs. The only difference that I seen was my cats hated to travel. They are both social creatures with their own personalities. How either react to you largely depends on how you treat them. The cats would always run to greet me when I got home, and they were never more than a few feet away from me.

My ex had a cat, she was a total sweetie.  Chelsea loved to sit on me and bump her forehead into mine, she'd sit there for hours and purr and hang out.  She was a neat little thing, I still miss her (the cat, not the girlfriend).
