America The story of US free series on Prime & an Emmy Winner

Back when America was Great (for the uber wealthy) there was a side to that rosie picture so many of this day and time don't hear about. But movies have been made about it showcasing the plight of the "non-uber wealthy". The circumstances they had and what they had to endure and fight in order to make a living and receive the respect they were due. Unions were formed at first and later the Government created programs to give "the little guy" a hand up.

Such a movie is "HOFFA".

1941 Black & White movie: Sullivan's Travels

A movie every Nomad should appreciate. About 10 minutes into the movie a British Butler gives a brief speech about not dabbling into the affairs of the poor by the wealthy. Worth listening to.

It is on the list of 100 movies everyone should see before he/she dies. It is funny at times and makes some rather ponente observations at others. But overall it is an enjoyable movie about wealth & poverty in hard times.

I've seen many of these. I wonder why some movies I've seen didn't make the list, but then I didn't create this listing.
