First the A/C craps out. Not that big of a deal, in western WA. Then the furnace, eh..... using a radiator type since I'm in an rv park. But now, the water heater. Ugg.    So, I light it, it lights, but when I turn the dial to on, it goes out.  I've tried googling it, but mostly find reference to home type gas water heaters.  Any thoughts on what this might be? I want to switch over to an on demand but don't have the money quite yet.  It's an '82 Terry Taurus travel trailer, 24'. Water heater is about 4 years old.

Try searching on the make and model of your water heater.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll check the pilot adjustment, then replace the thermocoupler. Hopefully that'll do the trick!

This has Service & Owners manuals as well as troubleshooting. You may want to bookmark it. You will need to know what the make and model is. http://bryantrv.com//
I suggest you check out the site before you go buying anything. It may just be spiders or some other minor thing

Well, first off, I am not blond. LOL. So, figured out the problem. I was out of propane! Good grief. In my defense, when I couldn't get the pilot on the water heater to stay lit, I did turn the cook stove burner on to verify I still had propane. It came on. So I guess the water heater needs more propane in the tank to work? Whatever.... it now works. Woo Hoo!!!

The regulator for a water heater is different than the one for a stove.  It needs a slightly higher pressure.

By the way, I AM blond.

A blonde woman was speeding down the road in her little red sports car and was pulled over by a woman police officer who was also a blonde.
The blonde cop asked to see the blonde driver's license. She dug through her purse and was getting progressively more agitated.
'What does it look like?' she finally asked. The policewoman replied, 'It's square and it has your picture on it.'
The driver finally found a square mirror in her purse, looked at it and handed it to the policewoman.
'Here it is,' she said.
The blonde officer looked at the mirror, then handed it back saying, 'Okay, you can go. I didn't realize you were a cop.

RE the blond jokes....all I can say is: GOOD THING BOB MAKES US PLAY NICE here!!

(snickering)

Well at least Lucy (yeah, I know.. not the whole name) was making a MALE blond joke. I had to come back in and edit this realizing that I am "assuming" LucyImHome is male... because that is the line Ricky always said. Profile does not say. Now my teasing may not make sense at all.

I'm female, and my son is blond, so since I produced a blond I figure I can make the joke! LOL You're right as to thinking LucyImHome would be male. Funny, it never occurred to me that my "name" is unclear as to my gender. Ah the things that float around in my head......

I use to be blond. I say use to because I'm old and almost completely white now. Good thing to because when I was blond I did some of the stupidest things. I look forward to the day all the blond is gone and I wont do....wait a minute. I'm being told that blond is still blond even if it's white and I will still be doing.....

Aww crude.

Never mind.

I was born blonde, turned brown by elementary school, still do stupid stuff - but learn from it!

hawk that what is important, to learn. if you don't learn from mistakes you are doomed. highdesertranger
