I am a newly retired, married (happily for 38 years to the same person) long time, part time California RVer. I have always wanted to spend more time in the RV, but always thought one needed to camp in an RV park or Campground. Not cheap by my standards. I knew I could camp in a National Forest for free and have done so in the old tent camping days. Then (only days ago), I found Cheap RV Living and my eyes were opened! I actually saw Bob's solar videos earlier but the Nomadic concept didn't sink in until I remembered a car trip my wife and took out to Lake Havasu. My parents used to spend January there in an RV Park. We wanted to check it out. On the way in and out I noticed people parked in their RV in places that were certainly not RV parks or campgrounds. That planted the seed. Then on that trip we went by Walker Lake and saw a deserted expanse that looked like a campground. Did some research and found how much public land is in Arizona and Nevada. Now I know there is a community out there that sounds like my cup of tea. I am planning to head out to some of the places I have learned about and give it a fair trial. Maybe I'll see you out there. I hope to learn from you without being obtrusive!
