Verizon 3G MiFi Unlimited $5 a month

I purchased MiFi device/plan on EBay with instructions to buy $5 data card at various locations. I could not find data cards anywhere so I called the Verizon number provided. The only option I was given was to add $35. Paid $35 the first month. The following month I got the same prompt but I only entered $5. This month same thing, but the balance is going down with only adding $5. The system will not allow you to talk directly to anyone. I went through every prompt in the system and the plan I have is UNLIMITED $30 a month. 
If you have this $5 plan maybe you can let me know how you do to?  $30 is cheap for unlimited SLOW 3G, but I’d really like to be paying for what I thought I bought on EBay

I buy mine online and have them emailed to me.  I setup auto purchase to be delivered a week before I need it.  That way I have a little cush in time to get it applied.  I use http://www.callingmart.com 

On the right side of the page select Verizon data plan and $5.00 Refill.  

I forgot the steps for the auto refill, but it was simple to navigate.  Check the day after your due date to find your current balance.

Yes, it's unlimited 3G.

I just topped mine off 5 minutes ago. When I called Verizon the automated system told me my balance was ten dollars. I didn't pay any attention to that and entered the pin from the 5.00 calling card I bought electronically from Calling Mart. After doing so I was told my balance is 15.00 (which I also didn't pay attention to) and that my next payment is due Feb 15th. I'm good to go until then and will repeat what I just finished doing. I've been using my Mifi for 4 months now without issue.

There 3 different sizes of cards , do not see that they have a selection to match card & device ?
I have the mifi 4620L
