Hi van folks!
I live in Brooklyn where rents are sky rocketing and I was looking for an alternative. I was initially planning to buy a used RV to make my home when I stumbled upon this great site and was quickly convinced that getting a van was the way to go.
I got a great deal on Craigslist on a 96' Dodge Ram 2500 conversion van with a raised roof. I took out the middle row of seats and in their place bolted down a shelf and a table. I left the back seat which converts onto a bed. I know its not the best solution for a bed but it is comfy enough for now and I take my kids around town during the week so I needed to keep the seats back there anyway so it worked out.
Thanks to Bob for creating this site and everyone here for their contribution and inspiration! It is truly a liberating experience! I feel like after years of searching I found a formula that works for me and I plan to live this way forever!
