I've been learning sketchup and working on layouts for a while now. This is my 4th iteration. Realizing, sometimes the simplest solution is best.

Pros:
-Cooking station near open door for ventilation when necessary.
-Back Area for loading folding bike.
-Milk Crates as shelves cheaper, lighter, simpler, more durable than wood.
-Open access to drivers seat from back.

Cons:
-Bed on ground.
-Tiny floor space when bed folded out.
-Requires unfolding bed to sleep

PS: If anyone has a 3d model or very accurate interior measurements for any 2000-2012 minivan lmk. The exact measurements would be useful for making a more accurate floor plan.

We used a tri-fold bed on the floor for a couple of years, and liked it pretty well.  A really high quality foam got to be too heavy to wrestle every night though, particularly if it was really hot.  We wound up downgrading to make that easier.  Also, if it rained heavily, it was hard to get in and out without getting the bed mucky.  We have since gone to a raised bed that's "out" all the time.  The frame has wire slats, so ventilation under the mattress is better.  With the tri-fold, we set it on edge sometimes to release moisture.
