I was looking for a van to convert to a camper, and came across this van which I suspect to be a pet/dog van. The dealer got it from an auction so he is unaware of what exactly is the van for and what was installed. Can someone help me with what these are:

- There's a JRV Products Battery Test (Main <> AUX) with a lighter socket --> Is that testing the main van battery or a secondary battery?
- There's a box that I cannot open during the van check. Appears to have fuses on the side? Do you think that is a secondary battery?
- Is there any signs of a power inverter being installed?
- Do you all think this is a pet/dog van?

Thanks!

It sure looks like you have an in house battery. The system is a little older than you might wish. But the good news is that you can replace individual pieces of your system as you can afford them. Way better than having to install one!. That's a nice lay out for starting out. Hope you are able to show us the build out process. So what I see in the photos is a charge meter. A 12v. Power supply. And it looks like a reverse adapter for 12v. The cover panels might be tight or have a fastener, screw, Velcro. Try a magnet on a string to find a screw if you don't find anything give it a good tug and see if it is just a tight fit or velcroed on.

Where are the vacuum tubes HDR. I suppose you have some stockpiled somewhere :D

This is a 2005 van, so blade fuses should already exist by then, not sure how this was installed. Overall the installation looks very professional so I doubt it was a DIY.

Any idea whether the van is charging the secondary battery while it is running or the secondary battery is just sitting there?
If the secondary battery is already hooked up, I can easily install a power inverter system to get my power?
