Unisolar flexible panel pulling loose at very front of van roof about 2 inches. Any suggestions for a fix? Thanks! Jan

Depending on how fixed you want it to be Gorilla Tape is quite a good alternative to what comes on those panels .you do need to really prep the surfaces that you are going to place the panel on

Any type of glue that would bond to both the fiberglass roof and the backing of the flexible solar panel? Thanks for your reply dodge.:) Jan

Peel back panel and tape it up out of way.

Use laquer thinner to clean roof. Use same but with clean rag to clean butyl underside of unisolar panel. This will reactivate the original adhesive. And it should restick with no additional adhesive. Might have to restick before laquer thinner dries. Or very soon after. A little experimentation should help. Only if this does not work would I consider an additional adhesive.

Thanks to all for suggestions. I'll see what works when it stops raining. Jan

3m super 90 is the even stronger. But the butyl backing on the unisolar should get super tacky again when wiped with lacquer thinner and should stick without additional adhesive.

I agree with everybody. ha ha. so first I would try the reactivation of the adhesive. if that didn't work I would go with the 3m 90. if that still didn't work go with the vhb tape. now that I think about it doesn't 3m make an adhesive above 90, I am thinking 120. highdesertranger
