TS Bill hits Texas!

Hope any Texas members are weathering this storm okay.  Tropical Storm Bill has made landfall near Galveston, Texas.  Evacuation orders are in effect down there.  Look like a bad one.

Hope any Texas members are weathering this storm okay.  Tropical Storm Bill has made landfall near Galveston, Texas.  Evacuation orders are in effect down there.  Look like a bad one.

It actually hit the Matagorda area yesterday, however, Galveston/Houston was on the dirty side of the storm meaning lots of rain and flooding.  Still raining today and flooding in a lot of areas on the west side of I-45.  The ground is saturated and no place for it to go quickly.  I guess we are somewhat lucky; if it had stayed longer in the Gulf, it would have reached hurricane status.

Given the prevailing winds, we in Florida will get the fallout in a few days.
