I have been looking for diagrams on internet. Does anyone know what it looks like inside, like what is holding window up? How big this is.

Maybe I could find it at libray also in repair manual for GMC Sonoma 2000 pick up, just thought of that while typing!

your window is glued in.  look at the inset of the pic and it shows how.

HDR...Her truck has a solid rear window and she wants to cut below it for a passthru.
Looking at it, I think it would mean also cuttng the front wall of the bed. Plus she has high back seats.
Without some major work, I'm not seeing it.

do not modify the cab leave the cab alone. I cannot stress this enough, modify the shell to fit the cab opening. if you cut out the double wall cab below or around the window you will seriously hurt the integrity of the rear of the cab. if you wait until RTR I will show you what need to do. I thought Yogi was going to get ahold of me when she went to LAX, I was going to show her then. I used the slider because it gave an exploded view of the sheet metal and window mounting. highdesertranger

Ok no cutting :) I'll wait till rtr, thank u!

if I don't make something I have to get different vehicle before returning east. Unlike out here u are socially shamed for climbing in back of truck to sleep

LAX plans got changed, wasn't sure how to proceed, thanks again

I think I get what u are saying u take cab window out and then only have to modify shell to fit that. I already took the passenger seat out once so that can go easily. There is hope. Truck is doing great would rather stuck with it.

Unless it's a Sport Trac, then you have a window mechanism. Power window. One of the best features of this truck!

Personally, I would never redesign my rig to accommodate what the neighbors think. I'm not responsible for what, how or if they think.

Do your truck window and your shell window line up together at all?

When you were near Winslow, did you stop to look at the meteorite crater? I have a yen to look at it again.

Cute pup!

Yes the meteorite crater is super cool, met a ranger in California who on 9/11 had been working there, what a surreal place to be for that.

As soon as I typed and posted about the social shame thing, I had a feeling someone would say something. While it is true, it is not the main reason. It is for saftey being able to drive off if needed  And most importantly my peace of mind so I can get a good night's sleep.

Anyone who who knows me could testify I am not concerned with what the neighbors think, my daughter for sure!

I will wait for HDR help at rtr, I was trying to support someone with LAX then as often happens with two rigs animals it got more confusing, it was easier for her to go on her own. And I went to los pedros which was great, too bad top half and ocean was burning.

Lke I always say can't have everything

Thanks always

Sorry, I must have misunderstood you.

"Like I always say can't have everything"

Just think of all the things you COULD have that you wouldn't want! It works both ways, you know!

Train chaser, u read it right, I am always in a hurry to save battery, and don't take the time to communicate clearly, sorry. I so appreciate then time u all take to answer these questions, your answers have been extremely helpful, I can now drive in wind comfortably.

Absolutly no all the things I could have and don't want, thanks again. Hope day is good.

She is an awesome dog, so trainable, she is going down sitting, learning to be around other dogs, u all helped with that to!

She got new leash and toys today for being such a trooper!
