Hello, and thank you!

A couple years ago I had decided to try-out "van dwelling".
I had enough of the social service machine, and headed north from Chandler, AZ in early summer.
At the time, my van wasn't paid-off, and there were fears I may have it repo-ed any day.
I mean I was current in payments, just didn't inform anyone of my intentions.
I spent 3.5 months in my van, and was very uncomfortable due to back surgeries I've had.
The middle seats needed removed - or I could not get out of the rear bench seat/bed at the time.
I rented a storage for them - silly I know but it, and it's seats were then property of the bank.
Once there was room enough to move around, it was much better.
I'll not go on with the rest except to say that it was then I knew, I could change a few things, and be comfy.
Aug. 5, 2019 is my departure date from the very same set of bureaucratic nonsense I left before, and would very much like to meet-up with you folks, and begin enjoying living - again.
Particulars:
I am to be 62 yrs of age come Sept. 8, and spent 40 yrs of my life involved in the manufacture of personal computers.

Just love the outdoors, and thus far have put 80,000 miles on my 2014 Chevrolet Express - Explorer LS road tripping mostly east, and seldom sleeping in the van as I figured I needed more room. Still may look for a class B/C to replace it one day.

Pardon the stuff in the van I've been re-purposing a whole bunch of things to those who don't have, but here are photos of my (now paid for) van, and it's current configuration.

Any, and all thoughts/ideas as to what I may do to create space, etc. prior to leaving are greatly appreciated.

Again, thank you!
Keith

Howdy Keith in AZ.
Sweet looking ride.  The first thing I'd do it take the unneeded chairs/seats out.  That will give you room to live in until you figure out what you want to do.

Welcome to the CRVL forums Keith! Nice van! Hope you can make it to the RTR in January but for now, you may want to join up with one of the caravans - https://www.meetup.com/caravans/

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Thank you!
BigSallysMom that's gonna' have to do for now.
Just that I'd rather not store, or worse get rid of those seats. See they're smaller than th fronts.
I'd trade the fronts, and rear electric to an interior person, to install  the middle, pnes up front. They swivel, and are easier to walk past. Only I cant seem to find someone here in the greater Phoenix area.
Again, thank you.
Keith
