I am buying a 2006 Hobbi 220 toyhauler. The tires are badly cracked and are size 205 75 14. I have been shopping and have only found a few replacements. Most are load range C. The 3 D rated tires I found are
Kenda Karrier https://www.etrailer.com/Tires-and-Wheels/Kenda/AM10235.html (rated 2040 lb per tire).
 A little bit larger, (at 215 75 14),  Taskmaster provider https://www.etrailer.com/p-TTWTRTM2157514D.html A, (rated 2200 lbs per tire).
Goodyear endurance http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...75NR4END&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes (rated at 2039 per tire)
Anybody have any experience with either brand?

I also thought about changing the rims to 15", but the trailer is now about 70 miles away, so I can't check for clearances. I looked for LT rated tires and came up with a general tire but it is only rated at 1521 lb  per tire.

Any suggestions on what might fit and carry a load?

Stay with the ST, D-range rated tires. Any of those you linked to will do fine. You need to swap them out every five years anyway.

here's what I would do if I planned to keep this trailer and planned on taking it of road. get the cheapest tires you can to get I to your house. I would try to find used but with 14's that might be hard. then I would put the tallest LT tire that I could get under it. I might even redo the suspension to get 16 inch LT tires or the same tire that my tow vehicle had. I am not a big fan of odd size tires. well maybe a 14 isn't odd probably a passenger tire. highdesertranger

I would go up a little in size. I had a tire failure on my fifth wheel (max 3,500 lbs or so). I bumped the size a little from 205s to 215 70r 14s, they fit fine. They're STs and I think are rated at 1,800 lbs. Like you, I also contemplated going to 15" rims.

Possible to lighten your load?

This is a toy hauler, so it would be pretty easy to drive in 500 lbs of machinery, (motorcycle, ATV, etc). Fresh water tank is 50 gallons, so that alone is over 400lb. If I am unable to dump the grey and black tank before I need water, (no dump station handy), that would be up to another 60 gallons at 8lb per gallon, (480lb).

Thanks all for your input. I went with the Provider ST215/75R14. It has the highest weight and speed rating, and I could not find a negative review on them. At first I was inclined to go with the Goodyear, but they are a new design so I will wait until they have a track record to look at.
