Thanks for the heads up about the bedrug Stargazer! It does really look like exactly the thing to use on the floor. I did find it on amazon.com if anyone is interested. The local distributors here -- looks like they only sell for jeeps or trucks (bedliners). I was hoping there was a smaller piece for non-traditional uses.

That shows all the bedrug brand items. They have a 66"x98" piece that you can cut to fit for $99

Well, I don't know if anyone has done it, but Cork flooring has an R value of about R3 per inch of thickness (The blue styro-foam 1 inch is about 4, 1/2 inch plywood is like 0.5) You can get cork in a roll for underlay for tile. Its not cheap, but it would hold the weight unlike Styro-foam?
