Thanks for the PM, I called Lake Murray and spoke to a very nice woman who gave me some suggestions about reserving a site online. A 2 dollar discount for over 65, full hook-ups for 28 a night plus the atv fee. Not bad.

That's something I may do when I pick up my trailer.

I'm going to take the advice from the members and give it a shot. The traveling is no big thing, I may have to hire 'Manpower' to help me set up (small joke).

My experience with the many campgrounds I have worked/lived at.

Usually a visit to the office or maintenance will bring a willing helper for anything you need.

An old campground saying is lift your hood or open a compartment and just stare at it ,,,, helpers (or at least advice givers)will materialize !
May not always happen that way though , so say hi to all your neighbors and before you know it many will become lifelong friends that will do anything they can for you.
Much the same as here on CRVL.

Rob, don't know if it makes a difference, but those reserved sites at the ATV camp are back in. I don't remember seeing a pull-through over there.   But, they are all level slabs so no leveling the trailer worries. In the first come-first serve section, most are nice long pull throughs. Yesterday, there were only two campers in the whole ATV campground.  Probably can't stir 'em with a stick on the weekends.

Popeye's right.  You'll have more help than you need, and you'll make so many new friends. Think about who's going to camp there.  Guys with toys.  They're all gonna have to check out your toy.  Am I right? :D

The lady I spoke with told me to reserve a mid-week date, the weekends get jammed.

Yes about guys and toys, there is a construction crew doing some remodeling work here, They spent so much time looking over the Polaris I told them to try it on and get in.. They, to a man, took me up on the offer.

Probably have an argument tonight, a lady was letting her dog use the grass in front of my apartment to do his business, I politely told her to use the dog walk area.. I'm sure her husband will be down later. People have no respect.

Gunny, pick up the dog poopers, put them in a box, and gently hand it to the dog owner's husband when he shows up. Tell him that you're really not so hard up that he needs to give all his valuables away to strangers. If he refuses to accept it....

You might need this: the Hyper Pet Slingshot ****-Launcher

Just pick up the poop with a piece of waxed paper, put it in the launcher (wrapped in the waxed paper, and cut loose. Make sure you have the right house, though.

For myself, I just scooped the big German Shepherd's repeat deposit from my mother's yard and put it into a shoebox, and then deposited it on his doorstep, without the box. Funny -- it never happened again.

Hey -- if you need some creative ways to deal with dummies, you just let me know -- I can ALWAYS come up with something!
