Your money or your life?Melodramatic much?I have had several flat tires and blowouts on a variety of vehicles and rvs and never have been in danger of of having a wreck.Some tires are better than others but to say you will die if you choose the wrong brand is ridiculous.

"yes, the thread topic title is overly dramatic intentionally to show how important your tires are. Don't take them for granted. Change them before you're stuck on the side of the road when the tread is low and a  the flat. Avoid problem by being prepared in advance."

Recently came across this webpage from  retired 40yr tire engineer with lots of great tire info FYI.
Some important points are
1. Maintain proper tire pressure. Cause for many flats and blowouts are heat buildup due to under inflation.

Overloading the tires with excess weight again creating heat buildup resulting in blowout.
Tire age  giving increased internal wear increasing posible belt separation and blowout.
Basically, most tire  troubles due to under inflation, overloaded, or too old.
Apparently, even potholes and curb impacts can lead to belt separation and blowouts or flats  down the road.
