Well, if you can buy it for the advertised price of $1.00 I'd say go for it. But it looks like they want to create a bidding war on it...highest offer wins type thing. OTOH, you might be the only offer.

BUT, be prepared to put 3 or 4 grand in to it, probably more, you'll need $800 in tires alone. And that's if you can do a lot of the work yourself. At 264,000 miles the engine and the drive train are going to be really tired!

If you want a mid 90's 3500 then it might be the one. If you're just looking for a good van, probably not this one.

There's some body damage to the rear quarter panel showing in one pic and they've studiously ignored a front view shot...wonder why?

I also agree there is something up with the front end. you can see in the first pic that the front bumper is misaligned. lots of miles for a Dodge, be careful. highdesertranger

Looks like a van well past it's prime to me. I'd expect it to need several thousand into it once you buy it. I think you could find a better van.

I'm not invested in a particular make but I do like the long body and high top.  These are two of my basic requirements.

I'm pretty well prepared to put tires and a major tune up on anything I buy.  I'm just concerned about doing all that then blowing the engine or trani just due to age.

If I understand correctly the parts for these old beasts are still pretty easy to get.  Is that correct?

Any notions what a remake on the motor and or trani might cost?

Any one ever sell the seats and or wheel chair lift out of something like this?

Thoughts on the milage?  Seems pretty high.

Any suggestions on a starting price?

I hope to go check it out Wednesday.

Thanks for any pointers or suggestions.

Very scary to me.

"Needs TLC, Tires (That's $600-900 right there for good tires) Battery (Been sitting awhile) Wires (Rats chewing on them?) Filters (Been sitting awhile yep) Plugs (That's a good indication of the lack of maintenance) wouldn't even think of looking at it....

Engine rebuilt can run $2-5K Tranny $1-3K
