Just like the lucky furry critters that get to ride in this sweet van. It is used for transporting dogs and cats to thier grooming appointments. Spray foamed inside!

Steve , don't get too excited, that picture was posted over a month ago! It's now $3.61 , not too bad compared to Ny or Ca., but still .20 higher than it was.

Not too shabby. We're at $3.55 here today.

So what's all that stuff coating the inside of the van, and what are those tubes with the holes in them do?

Hello to everyone from continental Europe;

Have been reading this forum for quite some time now and learned a lot.....Thank you.

To this topic - a very nice van and a great platform for a future conversion. We sure do not get many of those to see where I live if any. I suppose there will not be much to do with the insulation - you can foresee the wiring and close the walls and start on the furniture. I like it, because it is a high top - one can stand up in it.

About the fuel prices though - for a gallon of unleaded 95 octane fuel - that is 3,78 liters, we pay 5,53 EUR, that makes 7,29 US dollars.

Hi Misiljenl, welcome. 93 is considered premium octane here in the states, it's usually anywhere between .30-.50 a gallon higher than reg 87 octane. 95 would be like race fuel!
Steve, I did ask the driver about the van. It is a transport van for a pet wash company . ( " You Lucky Dog" I think) so by law, they have to keep it 72*, even if it is over 100* here in north Alabama. The yellow stuff is spray foam insulation about 2" thick , for a r factor of 14 or so. The tubes with holes are an air recirculator. Pulls the cold air up from the floor ( cold air sinks) via an intake fan and redistributes it towards the warmer ceiling, letting the AC work less hard. It really was a great setup, and the vandwelling possibilities were awesome. The driver was not the owner, so I couldn't ask about costs, but it was Definatly a clean professional installation.

Does anybody know the name of the manufacturer of the swamp cooler on that van? I'm looking for one just like that.
