That looks great, better than what I grew up in. When I used to manage some properties, I'd often paint the bare plywood with Kliz before putting the floor down - worked wonderers for pet smells. But you have to use the oil based kind - the latex doesn't seem to cover the oder as well. Hey, maybe instead of a "real" job, you could just become a house flipper for all forms of mobile abodes? It seems like you and the rest of your family have the skills to make it work?

We were considering just pulling the carpet in the back bedrooms, painting, then finding a rug to save money, I'll remember that about the kilz, thanks!

This one we could flip for profit today, for sure...  but it'll be my cheap home base. :)   But you're right, lol, that would definitely fit right up our alley :)

I feel like I could quite possibly die from white paint poisoning through osmosis at this point. But she's coming along nicely.

Change of address, yet again. *sigh* Changed it 3 times since December. This is getting old. Honestly, I'm really anxious to get stuff finished and get moved in and have a more permanent address feel. A place for my non-excess stuff, lol. Talk about living minimalist, I'm already there. Thankful I don't have a lot of crap, for sure.

Yet, I keep feeling for the road. ;) Of course.

Keeping 2 vehicles will become a pain, I am already feeling it. My little car is having an issue I need to figure out, think it needs a new feul injector on cylinder 1. But definitely need to get that one fixed and running good, as it will be my commuter for whatever job I get. I am sad to say... once that is done.. I will probably be selling Van Halen. :( Very hard decision.

Wait, wait, wait... don't start hating... here's how my brain came to this decision.

I CAN camp in my little car, the back lays flat, roof rack, already have camping gear, good on gas, more cramped but better on gas, windows already dark tinted, etc. etc.... Can get a tent or a tail veil thingy for more space.

It would be one less motor to worry over. Motor, tires, tags, insurance, yada yada yada. The van has more room, for sure! Yet, it didn't have a roof vent, wasn't wired for solar or had a house battery much less a fridge or any other amenities. Car has about the same.

Since I've got this paid for place as a home base, I won't be a full timer after all. More of a part-timer when I've got the money to roam, then come back and save up and plan for my next trip kind of thing. Might look in to getting a minivan to serve dual purposes in the future for a bit more space yet still keep the mileage decent.

Will be sad letting Van Halen go, she's been good to me. Won't have to part with her right away, so maybe I can squeeze in yet one more trip before I bid thee farewell. :)

Well, that's the update from this end.

-signed: back to s&b for now... errr.. make that just sticks! lol

Sold the Toyota motorhome. More than double what we paid for it. Was able to pay sis back and now the mobile home is mine. :) You could say, someone was looking out for me when it led me to the Dolphin, and make enough selling it to pay for a home base. :) Like getting a house for free, heck yeah!

Getting flooring in finally, have most of the essentials taken care of, painting is completed, it's starting to feel comfy. I am liking more and more the feeling of having a home base for times when the road gets weary.

Not selling the van, at least for a while. Bad news on my little car. The motor is going out. Will be a while before she completely quits, so I'll drive it for a while or try to unload it, not sure yet. But will need to keep one good running vehicle, and right now, Van Halen is shining. :)

Well, that's the update for now :)

I haven't had time to post here all week but here's me saying yes I've kept up with your thread

Should really update with pics soon... looks WAY different. :)

You have wheels on Van Halen too and they actually hit the ground so we do expect to see you out on the road someday! Maybe at the next RTR? :)

No worries , no pressure .
You're still part of the tribe.
We all love you even without a steady stream of pics !
And VanHalen is still a part of it too!

Hey Theadyn, thanks for the update. I didn't chime in earlier as I actually had a chance to go to Vancouver Island for a week and had very little access to the internet. Glad things are still plugging along.

Trying trying... I took some, but my phone signal isn't great out here and I emailed em to myself....

You guys just remember... I had everything I owned condensed into a van. Had to start over with zero furniture and stuff. Most of the stuff was donated, someone had laying around... or very, very cheap.

Didn't take any of either bathrooms cause they still need working on, just have the walls painted so far. Or either spare room, they are bare but do have new paint and carpeting, so didn't want to waste bandwith on those.

Will post as soon as I can.....

Hell Theadyn you're set up nice and cosy there, looks great

Well until I saw the patio I was thinking "Lady T sure has a big rig now"( like a 52' trailer and a tractor rig to pull it) !
