Well, of course, life doesn't sit still round me, haha.
Selling Dolphine. The motor is running good, but the layout just will not work for me. Just could not get comfortable in there. And really, there wasn't much storage over the van, believe it or not.
Then, the roof leaked. First time it rained, nada. I thought, cool! Second time was a real turd floater, and sure enough... Dad got up there and found standing water where they had removed a skylight, right over the leak. So, we sealed that up and thought it was good to go.
Still... the layout and uncomfortable place to hang out still bothered me.
We did rip out some ugly carpet and dad laid out some linoleum they had found at a garage sale, was looking better. Mom was making curtains and she and I were 'discussing' the fact that I didn't really look forward to the getting off the top bunk in the dark middle of the night to pee, she was all for it. We went round and round, lol.
Wouldn't you know it, 3 days ago we got word this house mom n dad lives in is getting showed, since it's up for sale. Great. I have 3 vehicles at their house we had to figure out what to do with. So, we decided to take Dolphine to the city lake with it's free hookups, that way we could check out the plumbing and stuffs.
As it happens, one of my sisters showed up, and with me, the parents and her in there, was just too much! I'm not prone to claustrophobia, but ugh. It's more for a one person setup, for sure. Then, they started making so many plans and I didn't feel good about any of it, not feeling the vibe. We did turn on the AC and felt to be pretty cool. As we were needing a few hardware items, we decided to leave the A/C going and ran some errands for a while.
Okay, at this point, I should mention I've been really sick as crap (the parents both had it, too, sinus stuff). So by the time the sister finally was going to turn us loose hours later, no one felt like going back out to the lake, we decided to leave it hooked up, A/C going.
Next morning, I go out there... *sigh* wouldn't you know, it really wasn't that cool in there, number one. Number two, the condensation was leaking inside the rig. Ugh!!! I kind of had it at this point.
Tossed and turned all night, got no sleep thinking about it. There was no way I felt as comfortable in that thing over my van. Comfort is important! So, going to sell it.
We do have it running good, motor wise, and we have done things to the inside, with a few more things we want to do to spruce it up then going to put mom to selling it. She has a way of making money on all she sells. (how come I didn't get that gene?!! haha
I'm actually relieved to be moving stuff back into the van. Right now I'm sleeping in theira 12' camper mom n dad has in their driveway, it has A/C.
And next up? Dad wants to go ahead and move out of this house and back into their lake house that is about an hour from here. Great, another move.
They did say I'm, more than welcome to park there til I figure out what's next. Only bad part of that is it's about 30 mins from small town and about 50 mins from a big one. Still unsure of where I will be anyways, so it works out.
Hey, their good news on their moving is that their lake house is still furnished with their stuff, they won't have to move this furniture, it stays. Coolness.
Phew!! That was long winded, sorry.
