Sorry, don't mean to get off topic.

But you can't let your homeless relative be homeless. No matter how foolish they are. And that can cost bucks.

You loose lots of investment with that relatives support investment. But hope I gain an RV/van/truck parking space with them for one month a year, forever, if I help them out.

Sure you can, that's called letting them learn not to be foolish
Helping out if they just had bad luck is one thing, bailing them out of stupid is called enabling
And I can tell that story from BOTH perspectives

You don't know my brother.  

He would take the dimes off a dead man's eyes, but would not loan his own family 20 cents. 

Money is just another tool to me.  The best times in my life have been when I was dead broke.  When I was making 6 figures, I was miserable.  It payed off in the end, but I still do not know if the cost was worth the return.

There are money problems and there are spending problems. Most people have a spending problem. Helping someone with a spending problem is difficult. Seen very few money problems in my life.
