I don't know how many of you knit (I don't), but thought this might be fun pastime for those of you who do.<div><br></div><div>Here's this weeks challenge ...</div>

That looks more like crochet, but I love the hat. Is there a link to a pattern?

I'm sure they're out there, but wouldn't know how to find one.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>What I would really love, and gladly pay someone for is a crocheted version of one of those Genghis Khan hats.</div><div><br></div>

<div><br></div><div>That's more Peruvian than Mongol. I've got several rudely colored ones. My mother is Peruvian and her relatives won't stop bringing me new ones ever since I asked for one once a long time ago.</div><div><br></div><div>This is a Mongolian hat. I'm hoping to find someone willing to take on the challenge of making one from all yarn, or mostly yarn. It doesn't have to be quite as big and poofy as this one, but a respecfully scaled down version would be good.</div><div><br></div>

<div><br></div><div>I certainly agree. Crochet single stitch all the way. Even the horns. *Sigh* I'd be up for the challenge if I had more time. Don't even have time to finish a blanket I'm making. Come back next year.&nbsp;</div>

ahh i see. I was thinking more <br><br><img src="http://www.s9.com/images/portraits/11096_Genghis-Khan.jpg"><br><br>I think the spike is a nice touch. <img src="https://vanlivingforum.com/images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif" align="absmiddle" border="0"><br>
<div><br></div><div>It is but I don't know how you'd get it to look menacing when made out of just yarn.&nbsp;<img border="0" align="absmiddle" src="https://vanlivingforum.com/images/boards/smilies/rofl.gif"></div><div><br></div>

Actually I think there could be yarn versions of the stones. The yarn version of the viking helmets have knitted bolts on them.<br /><br />

I love to knit. I'm not great, I can't read patterns, but I've made a sweater, a blanket, 5 hats and 10 scarves.

I am not very good at knitting either but I love doing it!&nbsp; So I am starting to make winter scarves to give away at the RTR's, anyone want to join me in making them?&nbsp; They are an easy pattern to make.&nbsp; Then the next project will be knitted plastic rugs for the RV's, Cars etc. to keep the sand at bay, or whatever other tracking debris.<br />Let me know if you want to help with the RTR scarves, and I will send you the instructions.&nbsp; These will be given away for free to attendees of the RTR (anyone who wants them).&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; You can email me at <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br /><br /><br /><br />&nbsp; QUOTE=fluffabear]I love to knit. Nice idea about the scarves! If I get all my other knitting done fast enough, I'll try to make a couple. I'll know better closer to the holidays, and drop you a line. Are we only doing one pattern?
