I started working on my van a few weeks ago. Progress has been very slow, but with help from some friends I've made some progress. Pictures have been requested so here's what I've got so far.
This is the view from the back. My wheelchair and lift take up just about all of the "garage" space with just a couple of inches of clearance to the bed platform. I might at some point figure out a way to use the odd space behind the lift for a water tank, but for now it must remain empty so that the lift can have its full range of motion.
Because the bed needs to be higher than the long rib of the van, I rivnutted a heavy poplar board onto that, backed it with another piece of wood, then screwed the platform into that.
I bought a set of Sprinter seats and had them mounted into the van. They sit right in front of the bed to provide both seating and a step to get into and out of the bed.
As you can see, I have started but not finished the insulation process.
The next steps are going to be flooring, more insulation, and then electricity.
Suggestions and thoughts are welcome as always.
