Wandering duck, the wonder twin puppies (both named Max) and I made it to Ehrenberg tonight. We have to get water and such in the morning so we came in just far enough as to start seeing other rigs for the night. Tomorrow we will find my group and start planning Thanksgiving dinner.

Having been a cooks assistant at his kitchen I must say he treats his prep crew with respect and bonus's that is if you like beer. See ye at the RTR. Adrian

Hey Jim - Is there going to be a public/nomad/cheaprvliving/ehrenberg thanksgiving potluck then? And if so, what time ... and what can I bring?  I plan to make it down by early afternoon and can head on out rather than bunking in Quartzsite if there's something going on.  And, since you are "the man" how does verizon 3g work out there?
Looking forward to meeting you!

Frog, as far as I know it is. I will send you the directions to the camp as soon as I am in it. As far as what to bring, I will know that soon too. I am doing a small turkey in one of the solar ovens and may have to cut up a larger one to fit in the other ovens. All in all there will 6 solar cookers/ovens plus my three stoves to work with. Other people will have stoves too.

Dang I wish I could be there for Thanksgiving, that sounds like such a good time doing a potluck!

There was a time, not so long ago, that I had lots of pot luck.  But then I quit.

What?  Oh...

Never mind.

All hail Max!  Max has arrived.  Max and Lacy have already played and chased each other around.  She can barely contain herself!  Max is here.  Max is here.
Welcome, Jim.  Good to see you again.

Snicker - first time in a casino - and I expect my last after shamelessly (and quickly) losing my fore determined $20. LOL.  On top of a dinner of great quantity but of suspect quality.  I had to do it once, right? Nomad right of passage?

Jim - I stocked up at the grocery store.  Can whip up something spur of the moment whether it's box stuffing, a can of gravy, or...oh, I guess you can tell I'm not much of a cook ;-P  I'll pick up some beer when I overnight at Flagstaff tomorrow.  Can't go wrong with that...

Duck and her Max of the Wonder twins are looking forward to a great Thanksgiving with Jim. Will pitch in on the cooking, and yes, given the short ribs I had, he is indeed a great cook! All dishes are welcome and appreciated for Thursday, except duck of course. Isn't it amazing he'd caravan with newbie me to Ehrenberg and then host a holiday meal? Thanks for Giving Jim, and I hope we can all return the blessings big time and that you rest at some point, lol. Will you please rest? I'm not going to stop saying it. It's going to be a great turkey day!

Save me some leftovers will ya!

I'm still in Oregon!

The coast might be beautiful if I could see it. Between wind, sideways slanted rain and fog..the coast is still an imaginary thing!

I have a frozen turkey breast leftover from Canadian Thanksgiving that will have to suffice for Thursday dinner cause there ain't no way I'm driving that far, that fast!

Oh but I also have some homemade cranberry orange relish to go with... :D

Works great even without the booster set up. I have my Amazon Firestick running on it now. Some buffering but that will be reduced once the booster is set up.

Only if you don't know him, Ms. Duck.   And after having met you, I would think it was not a gigantic effort.   :) And please don't stop telling him to rest.

He needs someone to remind him.

Good job,

Pat

Thought I posted a reply last night/this morning - but don't see it. However, I made Flagstaff without any issues today. So just this last leg (which has me a little nervous because of the warmer temps - Juno hasn't performed well when she gets warm). But I'll get an early start tomorrow so hopefully can make Ehrenberg by 1:30ish. I've watched the videos how to get to the general area - I assume I'll drive around until I see the bright gleam of solar cookers???!!!!

SO LOOKING FORWARD TO MEETING ALL. I'll be the senior citizen that was crazy enough to buy a 1984 Class C Dodge :)

Follow your nose!

Of course you might land at some other campsite with the aroma of roasting turkey and fresh baked pumpkin pie...which wouldn't be all bad!

;)
