Only thing about those things is, if I get up in the night to to the can, will the little bit of shaking of the travel trailer set the thing off and wake HER up?

Cheap. Easy to install. Easy to use. Loud as all get out. Takes 3 tiny batteries (comes with). Often you can find them in the stores if you only need a few. You can turn them on/off as needed. So you can put two on a window set up to be slightly open yet still alarm.
