Super cheap LED lights

I don't think this really fits in the Solar Power forum , so will put it here.

I have been using these for years for cheap n easy lights while boondocking.
I buy the little solar garden lights at Wally's or the $ store for a buck each.
Take the tops off , charge on the dash , in a window or outside and scatter them around inside the rig at night.
Enough light to see by and no battery drain at all.
I've got 6 right now. They last all night if in full sun all day.

I did that for my ambient light last year also. I did buy only the garden solar lights that use the AA batteries -- if I needed a spare AA or 2 for something else, I can rob them from the lights until I hit town again.

Theres a guy on youtube who uses those to light his bugout compound. He gets them on closeout fall sales. Nifty Idea too! I believe his channel is called

I used a solar yard light, a small clear plastic 'paint bucket' from the craft store, and a wadded up piece of 14"square opalescent clear cellophane to make a "bucket of fairies" nightlight/camping light for a young friend of mine. Turned out really cute and she Loved it!

The same flower pots that work great on a camp stove for heat in the winter, make for a great light holder for the stake lights in the summer.

Anyone use the really inexpensive "puck" lights off Amazon?  There's some cheap Chinese ones that have about a 25 plus percent failure rate per the reviews, but at the low prices, it may be ok.

Anyway, there's some other options.  I have a couple no name stick ons from Big Lots, they work ok, dim of course, and I use rechargeable AAA batteries (almost all of these use AAA) that I charge up while sitting at various coffee shops.
