Storing a LiFePo battery.

I’m going to be six time zones away from my rig for the next several months and am wondering about how to best prepare my Valence battery for storage.  I have an eBike.  The instructions for it indicate that I should store the battery at about 80% charge if it will not be used for more than a few weeks.  Does the same apply to the drop-in replacement batteries like the Valence?

I looked on their site and could find no information on storage. I would contact the manufacturer and ask for their recommendations.

Barring that, I would follow general LifePo storage guidelines.

80 percent sounds good, maybe 50 percent would be better longterm. But I've stored my 110ah lifepo4 for over a year at 100 percent, with no ill effects that I notice.
