hope the mods don't mind me sharing this too much, but another site that has alotta good info to us stepvan owners is the H.A.M.B. (a traditional hot-rodding site), and there's a thread for stepvan owners...

http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=282902

most are hot-rodded older rigs, but there is alot of discussion about running gear, restoration and parts links, and interesting modifyed stepvans too.

so you could go over there to learn how to keep your stepvan up and running good, and come here to learn how to build a groovy livable interior for it!!

Thanks Patrick,
That one looks like an English Austin, nothing wrong with a bit of hot rodding after all that's what a van conversions is anyway.
Geoff

Well, if I could afford it I would purchase a decent step van and convert it. They can be very spacey. I figure if they can moving tool sales vehicles out of them, why not a home.

That's a COOL thread that I need to find more time to read. I did take note that post #20 straightens us out (myself included) on wrongly calling them "Step Vans". according to him the name "Step Van" belonged to Union City Body CO. that is now defunct. He further says that the correct name would be a "Delivery Van." :p

Welcome to the forums Doug! Is the Kurbmaster yours? Do have any interior pictures that you can post? It looks like it would make a great home!

This is a pretty old thread. If you'd like to get more feedback start a new thread in the Newcomer's Corner Also check out Tips and Tricks.

Yeah. I saw that it was old. Couldn't help but post when I saw the title. No inside pics. Maybe I will start a build thread and do it right. I have owned it for about 3 years and bought it from a friend that converted it when it was taken out of service in 98. Atlantic city bus.
