Run the VIN across your insurance company before you make the purchase. Sourceing insurance on anything rated commercial and DIY conversions isn't impossible, just problematic.

I'd just leave it as it is unless your personal taste warrants the change. The vehicle is obviously not brand new, but it is not ancient either. What you do with the windows for your own privacy is the hardest thing.

Personally, I just went from classic white to 'camo' tan with bedliner. It is obviously an older vehicle, but it also looks really cool. There is also the Escape Campervan company that paints every vehicle with custom art. Not stealthy at all, and definitely a bit hippy, but still respectable.
