No need to lie or make up stories. Just say "I haven't gotten around to removing them yet." when asked about a decal of any sort.

I was thinking about the metallic signs. But then I am not sure if a cop would write down license plate numbers to see if the same vehicle was parking in the same area. If so and he saw the same license plate with a different sign then you would be so busted.They would know it was deliberate and they would not be very forgiving about it. Then, maybe they don't do this. I could definitely be wrong about it. Let me know, am I being paranoid???

Back in where they can't see the tag or lean something legit over it. You can but ready made or custom magnetic signs cheap on ebay. A good one would be Poll Taker with can you spare an hour & a small donation for a good cause, that would keep everyone away
