My 2005 Grand Caravan occasionally throws the 'Minor leak in evap control system' code, generally in cool damp weather. I reset it with my handy-dandy code reader thingy and motor on.
It just started having the "ABS" light on, but nothing wrong with the brakes, they work fine. I suspect a connector has come loose. I will get under and check it out when I have time. I hate idiot lights.......

Could be something in abs system you would not notice until you need it, be careful and search the web for similar problem. I did athe same for my safari and it is usually circuit board failure that if someone knows how to re solder it in 2 hours can be fixed otherwise the mechanic just replaces it at about 1200.00 bucks, ouch. But just saying be safe

Sorry offroad, I guess I got off topic, anyhow  I had a cool 71 suburban, was a 3 door, I put a 13,500 btu roof air and made a compartment at rear, had a lift/tailgate set up, for my honda 3000,  made a great camper for weekends and such, I took front pass seat out and made a nice raised platform for my miki (dog), long gone but never forgotten, with storage under, back then the rear part from back side door to tailgate was rasied and made of plywood on floor, that was my bed area and from there to front was ice chest  and such, cooked outside, and had a blast with it. the kids would camp in tent but when weather was bad somehow they got bed and I wound up on floor with dog, LOL. made a roof rack out of galvinized pipe with tees and flanges for kyacks, so the possibilities are limitless for using a suburban, I even had original 350 motor built up a little and later converted to a 700 r-4 trans for od. boy that old 4 bbl would sing on the highway when i was feeling frisky! lExcept for headroom would be a great option.

Looking at doing what this guy did to his suburban.  This is for part time use.

Looks like he has it figured out.

Every time I see a hearse or a minivan with a raised roof, I think how cool that roof would be on a 'Burb! :)

A local guy has a nice older Burb with a heavy duty roof rack, and a rear 'Hitch Haul' type rack - he's always carrying things. Owns a small manufacturing business on my highway.

back in the day you used to be able to get that raised roof done. I remember seeing a pic of John Wayne in his international travelall with a raised roof. on the older suburbans(1972 and older) they used to make ambulances out of them. I saw one in an auction a couple of years ago 4x4 and raised roof. highdesertranger

I've seen 73 - 87 style suburbans with a raised roof done by conversion van companies. I'm not sure those ones add enough height to be worth the trouble though. I think they were only 6'' to 8'' high.
