I'm thinking about adding a tv head unit in the dash. Upgrading all the speakers. And adding a subwoofer. Going to connect it to the TV in the rear for epic video game sessions. Will that run off the solar and batteries or will it be a complete drain on the system? I'll have 2 battle born batteries. It will be a 600w amp. So it will pull like 42amps? That doesn't seem right to me.

Seems about right.

Amps = Watts ÷ Volts.

600w ÷ 12v = 50a

Might be a good idea to "turn it down"...lol.

Let's assume stealth is not part of your situation.

And assume you are parked or camped far away from anyone who would be annoyed by the noise.

You did not include your total solar capacity. But lets further assume you have enough solar to keep everything you are running such as a fridge, lights and fans, plus the monitor and amp and game console.

A 600 watt amp is probably not going to pull it's full rated current all the time, and it might only be rated at 600 watts peak, which means the RMS rating might only be 200 watts or so.

Further assuming, you might have it at half volume or less most of the time, your average current drain might be in the neighborhood of 10-15 amps or so, including the monitor.

We need more information to narrow it down, but these are assumptions that give you a starting point.

I'm looking at 2 or 3 300w panels. Still in the brainstorming stage. The monitor pulls 5 amp and the console pulls 7

I also do most of my gaming at night so I 'll be running mainly off battery power. And the amp I'm looking at is 500w not 600. I might go with something smaller but idk. That's about as low as I want to go unless the power draw is too much

Why not ear buds or ear phones.  You can pump as many dB into your ears as you want without making it he!! for those around you.  And it will use much less power.

^ yes. please keep it civil.

I used to have an amped up stereo system in my truck but I don't anymore, you couldn't play it for very long unless the engine was running. when you become the power company you realize what is a essential and what is a luxury.

remember, it's always cheaper and easier to conserve power then it is to make it.

Does the subwoofer amp have an RMS rating? Peak wattage is useful but does not tell us the average.

You will probably be happy in a vehicle with a 200W RMS amp....unless you plan on busting your eardrums!

A 50-100 watt RMS subwoofer amp (or powered subwoofer) can create wall-rattling bass in an average size living room, especially with an efficient subwoofer. Yes they cost more, but it is money well spent.

Yea. The RMS is 250w. Half of the peak. I was looking at kickers or Rockford fosgate.
I'll have to look into higher quality smaller amp and sub. Might be worth it. I don't want a ghetto blaster. I just want a nice sfx when I drop a grenade on some noob. But I know this is all an unnecessary luxury. Just curious if I could pull it off without much suffering. I also want to put a camera system on. That's going to be another consideration to take in.

You know what, I power some ham radio equipment using solar (and generators if needed). Some might call that a luxury...

Like any hobby or past-time, we like what we like, you might as well enjoy your time out there.

Keeping it reasonable is the key to keeping it sustainable.
