I had never heard of Ensolite....that looks like what I need to insulate the pickup topper I bought.

Thanks for the link...

yes I have use it on toppers, it works great for this. I have never used the peel and stick and like I said I wouldn't put it on the floor but for the ceiling and walls I would. also I have always used 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch as most of it I used was reused sleeping pads. I have seen the peel and stick in 1/2 inch thickness but I don't have a link at the moment. highdesertranger

I found this website with Ensolite, with and without sticky-back.

https://www.foammart.com/c-262-ensolite.aspx

The stuff is listed as having thermal insulation properties, AND it's dark colored, AND it has a sticky back....which makes it preferable to other solutions that are light colored, foil-faced, or that need a spray adhesive.

I bought this commercial topper with acrylic lining on the interior, but I do plan on insulating it between the aluminum ribs.

Great minds DO think alike!! I’m also a huge fan of Ensolite and did the exact thing Mike did with my van when I lived in Alaska. I had a box van with an 8x12 box and went to my local military surplus store and bought enough military surplus ensolite pads to cover the floor, then 1/2 inch plywood over it.

I’ve also slept on a glacier with nothing but an ensolite pad between me and it and stayed cozy warm—GREAT STUFF.
