Lots of negativity on the the board the last few days. How about a thread about the positive in your life? Ok if I start?

It's 6 PM in Yuma and 78 degrees, low expected 54. Great hike in the desert today with Kate. Good friends have made this a great couple of weeks. Nothing better than friends sharing their life and yours. A lady, from here, surviving a terrible auto accident. A friend in Texas finding peace in her life. A person, who has been a big part of this forum, turning to another chapter. Good things happen to all of us daily, share yours if you want?

My Sweetheart Joni, got to see her home Doctor today, and things are looking good for her recovery. There was good to come out of the accident, a full body cat scan was done at the hospital emergency room which will help a lot with her future treatment. She is still in a lot of pain but that will improve soon. I'm positive it was a miracle that she is OK. Duane

Patrick posted a great link for Copart. Thanks Patrick, you know some mo stuff.

Well, let's see. I don't shop at Target, I didn't buy Facebook stock and I haven't broken any New Year's resolutions.

I sold a vintage road bike today, in January, in New England! Ha, a rather unexpected treat, usually not much doing this time of year. It is a beauty of an Italian classic I've had for about a year, did a total refurb on it. It to went to a very nice gentleman and get this: he's taking it on a trip back to Tuscany where it was made to ride in a vintage event there this coming year. Full circle for the bicycle, things go round and round like wheels, lol.

So I'm happy, he's happy and only about 30 more to go to thin the herd before heading out, hehe.

Things are looking up for our friend after her accident (thanks for the update, Duane!)

In other news, a quick look at my tax stuff shows that I will be getting back a bit, both state and federal- more money for the 'TV fund'! :D

It's hard to be positive with so much cold weather and lack of sun light. I just tripped going up my stairs and only spilled 1/2 of my first cup of coffee. At least it wasn't the whole cup. I also made a pair of mittens last night while watching TV in bed. I made them out of my favorite wool sweater I accidentally washed in hot water. My other mittens had holes in them and wool mittens are expensive. What are you happy about in spite of your
circumstances?

I've got things organized so that once the weather warms up I have a place to store my van seats and can start insulating my van, maybe even get it out for a "shake down" cruise to N. Calif next fall.

I am very happy to be alive, to have such good friends both in my physical world and this whole family of kindred souls to support me. I am very grateful!

something positive...I am warm in this cold weather!! Parents letting me stay at their house to save for another van in the spring. Things could be much worse, I feel so bad for the homeless people downtown in this cold weather

I am positive that I'm going to marry Hippiechk !!! Circle the vans, ITS GOING TO BE A PARTY !!! Duane

Did I read that everyone wants to marry hippiechk? Six figure income and lots of equity are required. To say nothing of the rugged good model looks. Keep wishing.

Not wishing, POSITIVE, ask Joni, I guess I have what it takes.
