Solar panels

Solar can be ridiculously cheap in Colorado. I have paid as little as $50 for 24v panels. The thing is you do not get to pick and chose. You get to pick from what's available at the time you are looking and pick from it. The person I bought my 435w from had bought a pallet of them, normally they are not publicly available. I am still waiting to hear back from him.

As long as people are allowed to buy direct from China, new industries won't have any supply chain here.

I picked up one of those infrared thermometers on eBay for $2.87, included shipping from Hong Kong, arrived in three days. How does THAT work?

My getting in the car and driving down to Home Depot costs $25+, and they want $17 for the gadget. Then put a value on my time. . .

How does that work? 

When we all start doing that all the time HD will go out of business & we'll HAVE to order everything off the net. Kind of like videos are today.
Netflix & Redbox made it cheap & easy, Blockbuster (with it's thousands & thousands of titles) went broke. Today if you want to that "one" movie ...

Well, got a call from the shipper. I am informed that my solar panels were "crushed" in shipping. Did I still want them delivered? Huh? Heck, sure...drop your trash off here!

So, warehouse says they have no more of the 340w panels.

I spent the day digging around, I found 345w panels by solarworld, They seem to have a decent rep...So, I am going with them.

Maybe they'll even arrive.

Damn, that driver sucks! (We always jokingly blamed the driver for everything when I worked in a warehouse... It was often the driver's fault! LOL)

The new panels arrived today,    One was shattered!  

I don't know about that..but, the solar gods are starting to piss me off!

Well...I actually have one in my possession!   

1 out of 4 batting average so far!
