Corrugated hose/flex material used as drain plumbing will inherently collect contaminates/food debris and thus create odor. The "P" trap when wet will prevent odor from entering the living space from the holding tank or sewer but will not protect the tail section between your sink retainer assembly and "P" trap... As stated earlier in this thread, an occasional cleaning of the tail section should keep any residual odor at bay...
