Imagine, thousands of people in RVs and trailers that never move all gathered in one area. They have water trucked in. What do you think they do with their black tanks?
Some dig trenches or holes. Others just dump somewhere a little bit aways from their trailer. It all dries up getting baked by the sun and then gets blown around with the rest of the dust. Gross
Then there is all the nefarious activity. Look at some of the Facebook groups for slab residents. It's the same thing over and over. Desperate people begging for money/food/water. People complaining about something violent/creepy done to them by another resident. People getting everything they own torched. People getting arrested. Newbies getting taken advantage of. People dying. Pets going missing. On and on.
The patriarch of a well known slab family, a man (I use that word loosely) named Spyder, was recently ousted as being a pedophile. He was leader of the ponderosa before he fled, a place suggested to many newcomers as being a safe place to stay.
If you don't do hard drugs I don't know what the slabs possibly has to offer you.
