What breed is he? Very unusual looking dog... he is cute:)
.
Barky is a Heeler... aka 'micro-managing supervisor' (that's his job).
We are inseparable.
Working the acreage, he stays in a 3' circle around my feet.
.
For the last couple years, we have:
* two Texas Heelers
* two Red Heelers
* two mulatto Heelers (mostly white with a touch of black) -- Barky and Manchelle.
.
An aside:
Manchelle is named in honor of that ex-First Spouse person.
Barky and Manchelle are 'domestic partners'.
Hey, I don't judge...

Cole, and I have been across the U.S. 3 times.
He loves to run, and fetch.
He knows more than 10 commands.
He's very protective while we're on the road.
Cole is my best friend.
BTW he loves Crosby, Stills, and Nash music!
He even sings a couple tunes with 'em ..
He looks like he would love to run.
Our big dumb love is also VERY protective when we are out on the road. He doesn't bark much and is extra protective of me personally. At home he is just a smiley love bug. but still a don't push your luck kinda guy. Unless you're a kid then ok push pinch tug and tumble all ya want. He loves little kids.

I have learned that working breed dogs really need to work to be happy. As in something to herd or something to micromanage. My son had a really great shepherd mix something and he was the most mellow dog ever great love that adopted my son, he was from a neighbor that was not taking good care of him. Dog, not son. He was super sweet and lovable but anything with wheels HAD to be herded. And he meant business then. When we learned his triggers, we worked it out much better.
Do you take extra care when out and about? Hubby says I am just paranoid, but I am aware of what a 120+ pounds of grumpy can do.

I recently had to euthanize my constant companion of 17 years. I’m hurting but getting better and focusing on the good times.
Looks like another of those total loves. I'm sorry for your loss but happy you had so long with him or her

You must have taken very good care of him (or her?) to have 17 years together 👍

Even when it hurts, a good dog is worth it a thousand times over.
I still feel the loss of my companion almost daily as this huge void in my life and it's been almost 2 years now. I still wake up crying when we are together when I dream.

Here, by popular demand, is twenty-four pounds of airborne enthusiasm.
Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you...
...[drumroll?]...
the adorable, the incomprable, the mistress of tricks, the boss herownself... Manchelle!

I miss mine terribly. The only way I get past it is to get another good dog. Theres vast numbers of good dogs needing a good person. I tell people my superpower is being able to save the world, but I can only do it one or two dogs at a time.

I lost my last dog a couple weeks ago. I had her over 11 years, she lived to 14 years, 3 months. Im looking for another one from rescues.

No pitcher???😲

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We started that post, then realizing we needed a current portrait, we back-spaced to wipe the window.

I hope this doesn't tarnish my relationship with you.

Irregardless, here is Manchelle trying to do her best 'stationary' imitation.
A half-second later, the ceiling had footprints.

She's a gorgeous blue heeler Marge ❤❤❤❤🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

A few months ago the people renting the house near me moved out. They took everything with them.......except their cat. It was down to two guys in the house as others had already moved out. Of the two of them one was a special needs person and I believe this was his pet.

She was almost always kept inside and he rarely came out. My guess is that where ever they moved to they weren't allowed to have pets.

So a day or so later the cat approached me meowing a very unsure call for help. I had some Carl Budding thin sliced meat and put it in a bowl and she eat like she had never seen such food. I guess they were feeding her 9 Lives dry food. I've fed her salmon cake leftovers and other deli meats I find discounted so she's now convinced their leaving her was their loss.

She's very much an "Only Child" cat and chases other cats away that come around. Even the Raccoons seem to stay their distance.

I named her "Midnight" She has nearly white skin, black dominate fur with orange undertones. A perfect Halloween Cat.
