Should we get out of the rig and make a snowman?
To paraphrase my good friend Cheri, our plans are written in jello. We are on our way to RTR next month and we are at an abrupt halt.
We are stuck in a snow storm. I-5 is completely shut down, north and south for a 33 mile stretch between Canyonville, Oregon and Grants Pass, Oregon.
We are here with hundreds and hundreds of trucks, rv's, etc. I feel bad when I see Fed Ex and UPS trucks. Santa will be very, very late.
But we're fine. Got wifi, one tv station and dinner is on the stove.
We plan to go south on 199 to the coast but it's completely closed with multiple accidents. .
And how's your commute?
Nelda

Wow, It's been ages since I was in a snow storm, I am a little envious. Be safe!

Sure ... build a snowman and post some pics of it! FYI -- There's Seven Feathers Casino in Canyonville with a nice and fairly inexpensive RV park (with hook ups) ... if you can get there, just off I-5. Be safe and see you in Q ... will be there solo as John holds down the fort in Fall City. Hugs to you and Jerry, Suanne

Build a snowman with some snow angles around him for protection. Better build a snow fort for them in case it gets cold. Oh...by the way...beware of the yellow snow...it tastes wierd!

Wow! Be safe! But, most important... HAVE FUN! I envy you! It seems so odd to think that I would love to be put into a situation that most would find un-appealing, at least... but... wow... what a grand adventure!

When you get to the other side, give us a big toothy grin and two thumbs up!

Peace, Love and Impromptu Snow Angels!
Bodhi

Nelda please be careful. We got stuck there for a couple of days years ago when we were driving the big truck. What a mess. Keep us posted on what is happening. HUGS Cheri and Tony

3:20 I noticed wind kicking up, and what appears to be something blowing across the ground with it. 3:30 ground is white 3:33 snow stopped. Strange weather

Hi N & J....I was out to visit Bob and company yesterday and am now on my way to Salton Sea and Anza Borrego....I guess I won't whine about being cold here...LOL...you two snuggle up nice and see you later...
Kit and I have sat on both sides of the Siskayou's a number of times waiting for them to open the road and when they did it looked like any day in Alaska winter....comical...but they don't want any big rigs crossways I guess..isn't it great to have your little home with you?
Hugs and MC and HNY to you two...
Bri

Just called and left a message. Hope you guys are seeing some sunshine! so fortunate to have your home on wheels and not have to hole up in some grungy motel (or worse!) See you in Q!!!

all is good. We had to backtrack back up north to cut over to the coast and come down 101. We are fighting rain and sleet. What a mess. I think we need a sleigh.

Hope you are out of the nasty weather by now. Stay safe!!! HUGS Cheri and Tony

Oh Man. Thanks for the Calvin and Hobbs link, Steve. I think I wet my pants. They were nice pants.

"Oh look, a philistine on the sidewalk."

M.A.
