This new reset, so many videos of the changes they are placing on us, - they want to do away with all gas cars within about 15 years to be replaced with not only electric, but self driving.

So many concerns here, including with all the surveillance and tracking and tracing they’ve come out with now and are forcing on us, the lack of freedom in our lives: this makes me very concerned that the self driving cars will take us where they want us to go, not where we want to go.

And, with their plans of moving us to the social credit system, if we don’t behave, they remove funds from our account, and restrict our abilities to do things.

This great reset they are referring to will remove all of our freedoms.

Have other people been watching these videos and learning?

The one big advantage the human race has is the ability to adapt. Understanding we have to to survive is the hard part.

If the self driving car takes us to where we don't wanna go, we WILL kill it.
We are very good at killing things with batteries.

My opinion is that you are watching too many videos.

The oil industry won't ever allow gas powered vehicles to be eliminated, and doing away with the ability of people to maintain the ones they have, could be taken as discriminatory against economic classes that may also mean discrimination I against certain racial and ethnic groups. I can see the possibility of a beginning to manufacturers phasing in to just hybrids and electrics, but that's all.

Since two states have apparently banned the sale of new gasoline powered cars beginning in 2035, many more will follow. The average car on the road today is 11-years old, and in 14 more years they will be 25-years old. That will encourage many to buy the new electric powered cars instead of a gas guzzler. I think it's a good move for the future.

I read an article the other day it said GM says by 2035 they will no longer make any gas or diesel engine vehicles seems crazy at this point

Charging my car free with cheap solar panels sounds pretty good to me.

The question where does the electricity come from to charge all of these cars??

Watch Planet of the Humans they attempt to answer this question.

Do you really think you’ll be able to go where you want to when they have electric self driving cars. You’ll only be Going to where they allow you to go. Do you want to take your van out in the woods and spend a week that’s not approved you can go to work and you can come home you could do what the government tells you to do and that’s it. I’m so glad I’m gonna be dead before long.

Unusual first post to forum.

I'm with Freelander, where is all this electricity going to be coming from?

I'm still waiting for my flying car and synchronized traffic lights as promised in the 60s.

Why does everyone seem to think that self driving electric cars could be controlled by anyone? The power grid is presently controlled but seems just about anyone living off the grid can produce there own power. You don’t think there will be an override on a self driving car? You don’t think someone will figure out a way around any system and market it? Funny how history repeats itself. Just like the first automobile electric powered self driving cars will be proclaimed “tools of the devil” and we will just have to go back to having horse manure piles everywhere you step! Speaking of horse manure, just saying.

Gs - 60 percent of electricity comes from coal fired electric plants. Which was shut down by the Obama administration renewed by the Trump administration and promised to be shut down by the Biden administration. Just stating facts not being political.

Bullfrog- thanks for me making me feel at home with the horse manure most of my neighbors in Lancaster County Drive Horse drawn vehicles. Maybe that’s why I have so much of that stuff to spread. I guess I’m just leery of the Control that governments try to put on the general population. (For our good) I’m becoming more and more a conspiracy theorist. One article I read about the new self driving cars is that we won’t on our own but when we need a vehicle we will call for one he will come and take us Where we need to go.while we’re there take off and get somebody else to move them around and then come back and get us. Thus making less of the vehicles needed. All of this is to be computer controlled for “efficiency”. Maybe that’s just somebody’s idea. When it comes down to it I just don’t trust the big governments. The more they control the more they want to control. I just put out stuff that’s my own opinion here. Right or wrong. Like I say I’m glad that I’m gonna be there in 10 years or less So I don’t have to see how it turns out. By the way bullfrog you have the right to disagree with me, you have every right to be wrong.?

I wont be worrying about that at all. 15ytears from now I will be in my late 80s and may or may nor be out boondocking.
Besides I am used to adapting to change unlike those who spend way too much time frertting about media articles.
Will there be more electric vehicles? Hopefully there weill be. Will the tecnology for them change in the next 15 years? Absolutely!,!

You're talking about autonomous vehicles.  The government (mostly the military) is very interested in these.  I doubt that the general public will ever be allowed these.

The current trend in self driving vehicles on the other hand do a lot of hand shaking with 'traffic control' for things like traffic congestion, road closures, parking availability, fueling opportunities, etc.  These will be controlled by a government.

GM has talked about their self driving cars not having driver controls; you might have a brake, but not steering or acceleration capabilities.

Tesla will shut your car down remotely if you try to modify it.  Yes, ingenious people will find ways around it, but it will probably be illegal, so there will be a rather large penalty for possessing a modified vehicle.

The biggest stumbling block to self driving cars is legal: who is to blame if your self driving car runs over a kid on a bike?  Case law is developed very slowly.

One reason I stay pretty much to myself is what is right for me seems to be wrong for others! Lol!!! In a few years I won’t trust myself to drive a vehicle around or with others so having a self driving car would be great. It would allow me to continue to live remotely. Having a quiet self driving electric car will make it easy to sleep on the way to where I need to go and really maybe I will get to see more of what’s passing by, if I’m not napping. Since they can transport goods as well I might not even have to make very many trips to town at all! Look how well electric bicycles and Prius hybrid cars have worked for many nomads. I think many people don’t have enough of an imagination any more as they just believe what they are told by others without using their own common sense how it will affect them and don’t see how anything could be turned into an advantage for them and others by working for the good of all. The automobile changed life for people that had previously used animals, possibly not as much as it could have. I look at these changes as just improving the transportation system we use to work cleaner, safer and in the long run cheaper.

Just sayin

Only if I’m lucky as I wouldn’t want to stink up the trailer! Lol!!!

I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandfather did. Not screaming in fear like the passengers in his car when he died.

The future will continue to arrive whether we want it or not. Most technology I have learned to use turned out to be useful.

If you are worried about the gas supply, get an electric vehicle and a way to recharge it while travelling.

omg Camm that was hysterical!

Like Maki said, older now and I don't care cause in my time literally the 'car driving me where IT wants to go and I am screwed' isn't gonna happen.

what goes down later, hey it is up to the young'ins to handle

also.....don't think humans are gonna ALL become sheeple....the revolution is out there in all generations still :)
