Saw this video and thought it may be a nifty option for some folks wanting to secure their vehicle.

Tho the misandrist in the video thinks ONLY women have safety concerns... I'm going to see if it works for me and my dangler.

Yes, but not everyone has the type of door pull they can loop a seatbelt through.

Or you can use light duty cargo straps to loop around the door handles. But obviously, don't overtighten them!

well just checked my rig.... while it's a good idea. I, like many others have a solid faced door panel.. so nothing to loop through.

I also don't see a mechanism to lock the belt. Did I just not look hard enough?

Someone who wants in will get in because your dwelling space has windows.  They break a window, reach in and undo the belt. The issue with this is you are slowing down your ability to make a rapid emergency exit, such as in a fire where extra seconds might make a huge difference in your extent of injury or survival.

Fortunately neither scenario is all that likely to happen to you.

I agree, being able to leave when needed is a safety factor for dwellers. If you have electric windows and have an electrical fire, you will need to open the door to exit the vehicle.
