Queen conchs found last year in The Keys. I kept 3 of these and gave the rest away as gifts.

I found all of those Queen Conch shells either wading in about 2 to 4 foot deep water or spotting them on the bottom while kayaking or while snorkeling. Most were found snorkeling in 4 to 7 foot deep water.

Thank you! I have never been snorkeling, but finding treasures such as those has put it on my bucket list.

jonny boi just plain livin too good!!

It's a beauty. Which is the rarest you found so far?

Have you seen Beach Combing Magazine? So many beautiful shells and all found in Florida:

https://www.beachcombingmagazine.com/blogs/news/amanda-s-way-of-shelling
Most shells aren’t really “rare” perse’. But some are harder to find washed up on shore in one piece than others and no, haven’t seen any shell mags. I have my 2 reference books noted somewhere previously in this thread.
I would much rather be on a beach looking for shells living & experiencing my own life than reading about someone else’s life & experience.

jonny boi livin the dream!

Also, I want to add I have yet to post pix of shells found on this current trek. The shells shown so far are from my shell pik archives.

Have found some really preemo ones too but first have some other pix to post yet.

intjohnny feelin beachy & sunny 😎

and sometimes I find interesting stuff on the beach that isn’t seashells………
