It was deadly but yummy! Those nut bar candies are nowhere as good as this!

Then I thought, what a wonderful, tasty treat to bring camping or make out in the boonies! Heck, you can do it in the microwave or over any heat source as long as one is careful not to burn it.

It's quite easily scalable, too, for those who want to make less!

Salted Nut Roll Recipe

1 24 oz. jar(s) dry roasted peanuts

1 12 oz. pkg reese's peanut butter chips

2T real butter

1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk

2-3 c miniature marshmallows (adjust quantity to your

liking)

1) Sprinkle 2/3 jar peanuts on bottom of 9x13" pan

sprayed with non-stick spray; set aside.

2) Melt chips, butter, and sweetened condensed milk

together.

3) Remove pan from heat; fold in marshmallows. Stir

until well coated and melted only enough to swirl...do

not over or under cook. ("Perfection" on this step will

look almost like marshmallow creme swirled between

layers of ooey-gooey peanut butter...barely a whole

marshmallow in sight.) Press into pan over peanuts.

4) Press remaining peanuts on top. Refrigerate until

serving for easiest cutting.

Aw come on Bradford, I just gained another pound of fat in my belly looking at this recipe. I am a person with no self control and could not eat a postage stamp size of something like that.
Dragonfly

LOL. I'm going to edit the post... I just found a recipe that only uses 2T of butter instead of a stick... That will help!

It was REALLY tough to eat such a tiny serving of something so good. A person can always adjust the other stuff around to allow for a little indulgence.

You should see the heartbreak when I keep going down the aisle at Super Target looking at the boxes of delicious sounding granola with their seductive wording... something like "Decadent Peanut Butter Dream Explosion" Granola or something like that... They are getting so slinky with how that stuff is worded! It works, dang it... 1/4 cup is 200 calories. Then I take a box of Fiber One bars home....
