I have a small solar setup in my van, that was installed for me, and I would like to uninstall it from my van and then install it on a bumper pull camper.  I know you don't just start unplugging things and pulling them off, if someone could give me a step by step order to disassemble things properly, it would be a tremendous help.  The more I do myself, the faster I save money to have it installed on the bumper pull.  Any help will be appreciated!!

Don't disconnect the solar charge controller while it is charging if it is MPPT.  Wait till evening, put cardboard or blanket on the panel, or disconnect the panel from the charge controller first.

Be careful with tools around the battery.  Be sure to avoid dropping a wrench across the plus and minus terminals.

Don't injure your back picking up batteries.

When you reinstall connect the solar panel last.

A solar system has three main parts, solar panel, charge controller and battery. Disconnect the solar panel and then disconnect the battery from the solar controller. Installation is the reverse. Connect the battery to the solar controller and then connect the panel(s).

I have my panels mounted on my van and run the wire to my controller and batteries on the camper. That way I can park the van in the sun and the camper in the shade.
